You need: 4 slices of yams, 3 cups of water, A medium pot and a blender. Salt is optional.

Boil them until they are tender. Make sure the water does not dry up. |
Mash the boiled yams with a fork. |

Blend for about 30 seconds and pulse in between. Continue this step with the rest. |
There you go! |
Served with vegetable soup and croaker fish. |

Wow. This is explosive. I never thought to use a blender. How was the texture after processing the yam? Did it feel like "correct" pounded yam?
