Recipe of the day: Homemade Salsa De Arbol and Baked Tortilla Chips

Instead of going to the store to get a jar of salsa and tortilla chips, you could make it yourself from scratch and adjust. It's easy and straight forward.  
      



    Ingredients
   Directions

      (Salsa)
  • Toast the arbol chiles and grill the tomatoes
  • After toasting the chiles, add water and bring to boil
  • In a food processor, add the chiles together with the water, onion, garlic, oregano, lime juice, sugar, salt and pulse until chunky.
  • Refrigerate for 1 hour
  • Garnish with cilantro

       (Tortilla chips)
  • Preheat oven to 350 F 
  • Brush both of the sides of the tortilla with oil
  • Spread on a baking sheet and add salt
  • Bake until golden brown
