Recipe of the day: Cornflake oatmeal cookies

Satisfy your sweet tooth with these cookies. One bite will take you right back to childhood. 



   Ingredients



   Tools/Equipment







Preheat oven to 350 degrees F. In a bowl, cream together the butter, granulated sugar and brown sugar until light and fluffy. Add the eggs one after the other and the vanilla extract. 
                          

Sift the flour, baking soda, baking powder and salt. Stir into the creamed mixture.
                          

Add the oatmeal, crushed cereal and almond. 
                           

Mix until combined.
                           

Use a small ice-cream scoop or tablespoon to drop 2-inch mounds of dough onto baking pans lined with parchment paper. Bake for 15 minutes.


Cookies should be light brown at the edges and on the bottom. Remove from baking sheets to cool on wire racks. And serve.
