Recipe of the day: Plantain chips

This recipe made me remember my childhood days with my grandma may her soul rest in peace.  Plantain chips can be fried or baked. 



    Ingredients

    Directions
  • Peel and slice the plantains into tiny pieces.
  • Place the sliced plantains in water.
  • Add salt and sugar, rub together.
  • Pour into a sieve.
  • Heat up the vegetable oil.
  • Add the sliced plantains one after the other.
  • Fry until they're golden brown.
  • Place them in paper towels to absorb the excess oil and enjoy.
