Anger

Hello!

I hope your week is going just as planned. Today, I'll be talking about anger and I hope someone learns from this.

Anger is an emotion related to one's psychological interpretation of having been offended, wronged, or denied and a tendency to react through retaliation.

It's natural to get angry but the way you react is paramount. Whether you are with your family, friends, anyone anger can creep in anytime. Anger is from the devil! you get angry, react immediately and end up doing/saying something you wish you never did/said.

Some people can be opinionated and obnoxious but you just have to keep calm and say Audu billahi min al-shaitanir rajeem ( I seek refuge in Allah from the devil) then talk or ignore them completely. I do this and it works. It can be hard sometimes but you shouldn't let the devil take over because when you finish reacting so bad you're on your own and don't let anyone get that reaction from you.

And sometimes we misconceive what people say ergo, we get angry and respond immediately without thinking. That's why patience is really important.

If someone is treating you badly, saying things you don't like, have a conversation and if the person persists, just keep calm and pray about it and you'll see that the person would stop IMMEDIATELY!!

And when the foolish address them with bad words they reply with salamaa (peaceful words of gentleness.)             Quran 25:63

Abu Hurairah (ra) narrated, "The messanger of Allah peace be upon him said, the strong person is not he who has physical strength but  the person is strong if he can control his anger" (Al-Bukhari and Muslims).

Ali Ibn Zaid mentioned, "A man of the Quraysh spoke harshly to the Caliph Umar Ibn Abdul Aziz who remained silent for a long time and then said, "You wish that the devil rouses in me the pride of the caliphate and I treat you so rudely that you can take revenge tomorrow (in the Afterlife) on me."

Show forgiveness, enjoin what is good and turn away from the foolish. Quran 7:199

May Almighty Allah give us the patience and may He continue to lead us to the right path.

PS: It's a learning process and if you start now, you are going to get used to it.

And when My servants ask you, [O Muhammad], concerning Me - indeed I am near. I respond to the invocation of the supplicant when he calls upon Me. So let them respond to Me [by obedience] and believe in Me that they may be [rightly] guided.   {Al-Baqarah 2:186}
